Frequently Asked Questions

01

Why should I get baptized?

Baptism is the outward display of an inward decision to follow Jesus. If you have a relationship with Jesus and have not yet been baptized, we want to encourage you to take that step in your walk with Christ.

02

Do I have to be a member to be baptized at Skyline Church?

You don’t have to be a member, but it is the first step to becoming a member at Skyline Church. The only requirement is that you believe Jesus is the Son of God, He died on the cross for your sins, He was raised from the dead, He is alive, and you have a relationship with Him.

How does Skyline Church do baptisms?

At Skyline Church, we do baptisms through water immersion, just like Jesus did. It represents death to self and being risen to new life in Christ.

“As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water.” Matthew 3:16

"For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead."

Colossians 2:12
