Skyline Leadership

Dr. Jeremy McGarity is the Lead Pastor of Skyline Church in San Diego, California. Skyline has experienced remarkable growth and has been recognized by Outreach Magazine as one of the fastest growing churches in America for three consecutive years. With multiple campuses and a growing reach beyond San Diego, Skyline remains focused on its mission of helping people find and follow Jesus seven days a week.

A native San Diegan, Jeremy spent ten years playing professional baseball, including time in the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers organizations. After an injury ended his baseball career, God redirected his life toward ministry. Jeremy earned a B.A. in Biblical Exposition and graduate degrees in Theology and Ethics and Divinity. He also holds doctorates in Church Growth and Multiplication and Christian Leadership.

Jeremy and his late wife, Janie, shared nearly 27 years of marriage and ministry while raising their three sons. Janie passed away in 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her legacy of faith continues to shape Jeremy, their family, and the Skyline Church community. Jeremy is an author, pastor, and communicator who is passionate about helping people understand and live out God’s Word. Through biblical teaching, humor, storytelling, and real life experiences, he communicates in a practical and relatable way. As Jeremy often says, “I’ll give you something on Sunday that you can use on Monday.”
