Please place all medications that your student needs on a clearly labeled zip lock bag. Please be sure that all meds are in a prescription bottle. Also, please include in the bag instructions on an index card of how and when your child needs to take their medication. The bag will need to be turned in to at the check-in table before we leave for camp. You do not need to send over the counter medications such as Tylenol, Advil, Sudafed, etc. Camp Pondo keeps a well-stocked infirmary and we can “patch-up” most scrapes, bruises, headaches, and stomachaches. If your child brings ANY medication or vitamins, it must be turned into the infirmary. The health code mandates that no medications be left unattended in the cabins.
Please don’t send your students to camp sick, if your student is sick and you let us know before camp you can get refunded. However, if we are at camp and your students gets sick and has to go home early we cannot refund or prorate your camp fees
If you have not already, please fill out and sign the camp Pondo Medical Release form. Your student will not be allowed at camp without it.
We would encourage you to not send cell phones with your students because they can be a distraction to all the fun going on around them. Often times cell phone get lost, broken, or stolen. If leaders see students on their cell phones, we will ask them to please put it away. All Seven/Skyline leaders will have their cell phones and leaders will allow students to use it to call home at appropriate times if desired.
