Beyond You – Stories

Something incredible happens when we serve! We connect with others and
Jesus so much more. As we extend ourselves through our time, energy and
resources, and respond to the needs of our neighbors, God, in return,
responds to us by bringing us to a new awareness of Himself.

God is present in our acts of Love in our communities.

Skyline's newest local Serve ministry, APT Love, reaches out to residents of
low income apartments downtown. In late August at the Arlington Apartments,
Skyliners and our downtown neighbors experienced God's tremendous blessing.
Many lives were touched by the generosity of our Skyline family. Many
Skyliners from the Young Adult and the Singles ministries were touched by
the kindness and openness of the apartment residents.

Thank you all for donating to the hot meal we served, supplies for the 30
bags of groceries we gave away, and bibles and Christian reading materials
for all of the residents.

The spirit of serving is evident at Skyline these days. Many of you
volunteered to serve your own Skyline Family by participating in our annual
Nune Festival, and signed up for short-term passion trips to serve around
the world.
